Kate Trufitt, Group Compliance, Safety and Sustainability Manager, Apata Group Limited

Kate has held many roles in the horticulture sector. She started in marketing and logistics before turning her skills to compliance, and health and safety.

Kate was the inaugural Associate Director on the HortNZ Board for 2019 before being voted onto the HortNZ Board as a Director by growers in 2020.

Kate is also a member of the NZGAP (Good Agricultural Practice) governance committee and chairs the NZ Horticulture Health and Safety Council.

Kate is passionate about worker welfare. She maintains that ‘ensuring our workers are kept safe and healthy is of utmost importance’.
