Biography

Kelly Forster is a Senior Policy Analyst in the Agriculture and Climate Change team at the Ministry for the Environment. Kelly has been with the Ministry for the Environment since 2016. She was seconded to the Interim Climate Change Committee during 2018/19 to work on the Committee’s inquiry on agricultural emissions. Kelly was previously an Environmental Planner at Waikato Regional Council where she was involved in the Protecting Lake Taupo Project that introduced a nitrogen cap in the Taupo catchment.

Kelly will discuss science and policy considerations relating to agriculture and climate change in New Zealand, as relevant to growers and the broader agriculture sector.
